Hooter Dam & Valley of Fire

Back in 09 when I first moved to Vegas I did a day trip to check out Hooter Dam and the Valley of Fire. It was a pretty decent day trip, the dam was impressive, and Northshore Rd which runs from the Western side of Lake Mead up to the Eastern entrance to the Valley of Fire was pretty scenic.

City Center

Ducked out after work last night with Khanh to grab some HDR shots of City Center and the strip. It turned out to be a very rainy and foggy night which led to some pretty good results... Definately worth getting wet for...

Vancouver

Had a few chores to run in Vancouver before I could head up to Whistler back in Jan '09 and I took a bunch of photos while I was running around town. Was fortunate to be jet lagged and wake up early enough to get some pretty cool shots of a fog that came in off the ocean.

Christmas 2008

So I finished working at American Express in London in early December 2008 and decided to go home and see the family for Christmas before heading to Canada for another season of snowboarding.

Verona & Lago di Garda

Wow. Two posts in one day... I better stop before I do myself an injury...

In November 08 Chris, Mon, Rich and I headed off to Verona and Lake Garda in Italy. It was a pretty easy going weekend and pretty darned cold which meant a lot of our time was spent warming up in coffee shops and bars.

Lake Como

So I just got back from Lake Como (...well about 18 months ago) and thought I'd put the pics up. I was joined by Chris, Liz, Mon and Ange - thanks to Mon for organising the whole thing and taking a whole bunch of the pics below and also to Chris for his ever-exciting driving abilities.

Despite the poor weather and the chilly temperatures we still managed to have a blast. Most of the our time was spent town-hopping, checking out the picturesque towns and scenery, and trying to spot George Clooney. The weekend also included a brief foray into nearby Switzerland to go clubbing - super fun until we all woke up the next day with pockets full for Swiss Francs and no way to spend them.

Put up some Halloween decorations the other day... Spooky!

Horsing Around

Went horse riding with Cristine a couple of weeks ago up near Red Rock. The ride took us through a canyon, up a mountain to Fossil Ridge where we stopped to eat and check out the amazing panoramic views of Las Vegas and the entire valley it sits in. We picked a pretty good day for it too as the sunset on the way down was choice bro! By the time we got back to the corral it was just after dusk. Yee-haw! Pics are here.
